How Long Does a Re-Roof Take?
A realistic guide to re-roofing timescales.

Timescales for a re-roof depend on the size of the roof, the pitch, access to the property, and the weather during the works.
Most standard residential re-roofs take between one and two weeks from start to finish, including stripping the old covering, replacing any damaged timber, and fitting the new roof.
Larger or more complex roofs — multiple pitches, valleys, or dormer windows — will typically take longer than a simple, single-pitch roof.
Weather can affect the programme, particularly during the stripping stage when the roof structure is temporarily more exposed.
You'll be given a clear estimated timescale as part of your written quotation, along with an outline of what to expect during each stage.
